Ten Minutes: Baking
Compared to cooking, baking is a science. Precision is key. An unnecessary ‘dash’ or ‘pinch’ of an ingredient will spark disaster. The entire process is painstaking and terribly unfair. Each step must be precisely followed. Mistakes only reveal themselves after it’s all over. We’re talking soggy bottoms, sunken middles, and burnt edges. Hell on earth. Unless you feel like you were born to bake, save yourself the aggravation and go with store-bought sweets.
