Ten Minutes: Books

Really nice to see that people have decided to still lug around books instead of going digital. Even though everything online seems permanent, the choices become so vast and it all moves so fast that it feels temporary. At least with a physical copy you can show that you’ve made a commitment. Deciding whether or not to actually read it is the only choice left to make.

Maybe some people are only carrying a book around to complete their facade. On the bright side, there’s still a chance they could crack into it when their phone dies. Reading is something you do every day, but a well-crafted story will stretch your mind more than any gossipy news article. Equip yourself with a good one and enjoy the power outage or, at the very least, the fashionable paperweight.
