Ten Minutes: Return
The first day back to work after a long vacation can be dangerous. Your inbox is cluttered with hundreds of unanswered questions, you have meetings about projects you’ve forgotten the names of, and, the worst part is, everyone wants to hear about your time away. Like they’ve been chained to their desks and are relying on you to recite songs of the outside world.
Heed this warning, my dear friends: Do your best to sound uninteresting. Make it sound like you went to a tax convention in Lubbock. Otherwise you run the risk of dwelling on all the good times you’ve had away from this awful place. Next thing you know, you’re AWOL and out enjoying your life. Trust me. I’ve seen it happen.
